The Ascent to Excellence Foundation recognizes the intensity of undergraduate studies and strives to allow scholarship recipients to fully focus on their studies and career development.
Therefore, there is no requirement for volunteer hours and the only obligation is investment in studies and regular participation in enrichment meetings and foundation events.
More than a scholarship. A program that nurtures perseverance and success
Ascent to Excellence provides recipients with the financial and social support structure throughout their undergraduate years.
This support package is designed to allow recipients to fully focus on their studies, cope with academic challenges, and plan their future professional paths.
As part of the program, and in collaboration with the Yotzim Leshinuy organization, students receive personal and academic mentoring, assistance in securing additional scholarships, career guidance, and preparation for the job market.
In addition, social workshops are held as part of a supportive community of students and alumni.
The combination of financial support and social guidance creates the conditions that enable persistence, excellence, and the development of a stable professional future.
The Context in Which We Operate
Men and women who have left the fold of ultra-Orthodox community often face significant challenges in navigating their academic and career paths. In addition to educational gaps resulting from the lack of core studies, many also are forced to break from family and community support systems, and face financial insecurity and loneliness during a critical period in which they are shaping their identity and future. The combination of these difficulties creates a significant barrier to success for young men and women, despite their abilities and motivation.
Participation in the Yotzim Lemetzuyanut program enables students not only to receive a scholarship, but to build a clear and stable path forward: one defined by academic persistence, strengthened self-efficacy and confidence, and thoughtful preparation for meaningful and successful integration into the workforce
